Wanderlust with Raewyn and Tony

 Leaving Auckland we made it to Gulf harbour Marina, Warkworth Golf Club, Marsden Cove Freedom camp, and on to Whangarei over a period of 5 nights. We stayed for 2 nights at Lewis and Cindy's, Kauri, then back out to the Tutukaka Coast and Matapouri.   A big day followed to Houhora Motor Camp on the 9 August where we stayed for 2 nights. Rarawa Doc Camp followed where there was only 1 other camper van. 13 August we travelled back to the Kaitaia RSA. 14 August we stayed one night at the Ahipara Holiday park, then the Golf Club for one night. Swapping between Kaitaia and Ahipara we eventually ended up back at Ahipara Holiday Park 18 August, then came  Lockdown.  Ahipara Motorcamp With little information, we were told we had to stay where we were and travel only to the supermarket or Pharmacy while a Covid pandemic raged in the country.  Our first trip after delivery started 20 June 2021 with an overnight stop at Ruakaka Motorcamp. From there itwas 4 nights at Parua Bay - our first experience and so far our last of being stuck on wet grass. Continuing, we went to Kowharewa freedom Camp before finding Whangaumu (Wellingtons Bay) which has become among our favourite stops on the Tutukaka Coast. Other overnight stops included  Matapouri, and Tutukaka Motor Camp.  Whananaki, then Reyburn House Lane - another destination we enjoyed based on the river in the Centre of Whangarei. Paihia RSA in the Bay of Islands before stopping at Kelvin Petrie's home (AC Volunteer), then back to Opua Marina - and dinner at the Yacht Club with Jon Lee - our list of favourites is beginning to build. In Kaitaia we stayed at Patricia's before heading back south to Kai Iwi lakes and Port Albert.  Back in Auckland 12 July.
